We are proud to introduce a new
Irish American Newspaper
to the Ohio area --- the

“Ohio Irish American News”

OhIAN is the creation of John O’Brien, Jr., from the Cleveland area and his partner, Cliff Carlson, who is also the  publisher of the Irish American News out of Chicago. 

The first issue of OhIAN will be available on January 5th, 2007 and on the 5th of each month thereafter.

Here is some basics on the paper -
It will be focused on the news, people and events of Irish note and impact and how they affect those living in and around the Buckeye state, the Ohio Irish American News (OhIAN) will offer articles, book and music reviews, profiles and pictures of current and historic businesses, bands and newsmakers, guest commentary, travel and tourism news and special features, all relating to the Irish American experience.   There are over 1,445,000 people of Irish descent living in Ohio.

OhIAN will be available throughout the state at Irish restaurants, pubs, organizations, businesses, concert halls and festivals, or can be ordered by subscription.

Note of Interest:  John O’Brien, Jr. is well known to the Cleveland area for his contributions to Irish Culture.  He is the author of the new book, Festival Legends, Songs and Stories.  John has been the Assistant Director of the annual Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival for many years and has also written articles, profiles and reviews for travel, heritage and special interest publications, as well as poetry centered around themes of love, loss and glory.

PREVENT CANCER:

The National Institute of Health and Safety studied 2,983 ingredients used in personal care and cosmetic products and found 884 of them to be toxic.

Of the 884 toxic ingredients, biological mutations could be caused by 314, reproductive problems by 218, acute toxicity by 778, cancer tumors by 146 and skin and eye irritation by 376. 

These include shampoos, conditioners, body wash, deodorant, shaving cream, mouthwash, and toothpaste.  They were also found in baby products like bubble bath, shampoos (including no-tears shampoos), baby powder, and baby wipes.
